Kylie Minogue’s New Pop Masterpiece — Padam Padam, Slays Music World
Warning: Kylie Minogue’s latest insanely catchy tune, will be in your head all weekend (Padam)
Australian pop royalty, Kylie Minogue, has delivered yet another pop-pearl with a smashing and slightly sexed-up rendition of Edith Pilaf’s 1951 Padam Padam.
Padam Padam was released on 18 May, just in time for the world premier on the final of American Idol. Not bad marketing. But maybe more importantly for her, also in time for the Pop Princess’s 55th birthday week bash. Go Kylie!
But back to the song — this bad boy is addictive. Even the title ‘Padam Padam’ maddeningly sticks in your head and refuses to leave.
If you dare to listen, Kylie fans will notice a ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ vibe blended with the unique sound of ‘Slow’ from the early 2000’s. But nothing will prepare you for this….
When Kylie releases a new single, it’s always a big deal, but this one blew expectations into the stratosphere and also caused a little controversy (only a good thing right?). Apparently, certain diehard Kylie fans somehow ‘acquired’ an early listen to the upcoming album Tension. The album isn’t due to be released until September this year. Hmm…. me smells a marketing ploy perhaps?
Might be. But it can only work in her favour.
The Aussie Princess of Pop has returned.
