Indoor spaces can influence how you feel, behave and what you experience

Our indoor space can impact our psychological well-being and success.

Environmental psychology studies the interactions between humans and their indoor spaces. Research shows that indoor spaces can elicit certain emotions and behaviour from its occupants.

We too can create a certain mood in our home through furniture and its placement, colour, light, sound, scale and proportion.

Our home can even be impacted by the mood and emotions of the people who come and go inside it.

The mood we create via interior design effects our behaviour, our perceptions and our emotions.

You’ve probably entered an indoor space and instantly felt a particular way.

Maybe you felt calm as your eyes noticed soft monochrome colours, symmetry, visually pleasing lines from walls and furniture pieces and you felt drawn to linger and bask in the room’s energy.

A clean, orderly and organised home creates a positive atmosphere that supports productivity, motivation, and may support financial success.
